Roommates John (Josh Hamilton)
and Moe (Harold Perrineau) run a webcam cybersex service out of their New York
apartment. Through Intercon-X, guys essentially sign on to get off watching other
men or women doing the same. John seems to spend much of his time watching Angel
(Liz Owens), whether she's at her computer or even sleeping. His social life is
very focused on online communities and uploading webcam commentary to his personal
website. Outside in the real world, things aren't so simple. John also thinks
Jordan (Vanessa Ferlito) is hot, but their offline date is disastrous. Moe goes
through women very quickly, and he ends up treating Moira (Isabel Gillies,
I Shot Andy Warhol), another webcam date, like dirt. Two other
couples meet in real life more successfully. Ed (Eric Millegan) is a lonely gay
Ohio teen who travels to New York to meet his cybersex partner Al (John Fleck,
"Tales of the City," "Carnivale"). Jordan masturbates for
clients all of the time but complains that she has yet to find someone to really
do it for her during sex. She also watches Angel's webcam, and with Al's prodding,
she and Angel finally get together, their sexual encounter broadcast on the webcam. This
indie film was a darling at Sundance, and it is sexy at times. Just a few too
many scenes of guys jerking off for me though :-) |
