Miss Congeniality 2
doesn't really include any lesbian elements, but I recommend it here for the delight
of watching Sandra Bullock straddle Dolly Parton and poke her breasts (trying
to prove that she is an impersonator :-) As can be expected, the film doesn't
surpass the original, but it's still good for some laughs. FBI Agent Gracie Hart
(Bullock) is back fighting crime, out of her pageant attire. She's getting fan
mail, inspiring women and girls, and is asked to be the new public face of the
FBI. Gracie doesn't want to become "FBI Barbie," as she phrases
it, but she's in for another round of hair, makeup, dresses and the talk show
rounds, becoming exactly that. Then Miss America is kidnapped, and Gracie and
new partner Agent Sam Fuller (Regina King, If These Walls Could Talk II,
Higher Learning) are on the job. Fuller is a great addition, a strong woman
with an anger problem! A key to the investigation is a Dolly Parton look-a-like,
causing the agents to pose as drag queens to get access to the drag club dressing
room. Shortly afterward, they save the day and end the film with an encouraging
message to just be yourself, regardless of societal pressures. Also stars
Diedrich Bader (Teresa's Tattoo) as Gracie's very gay stylist, William
Shatner (Dodgeball), Treat Williams and Elisabeth
Röhm ("Law and Order"). |
