Amy (Joelle Carter, When
Will I Be Loved, American Pie 2), a lawyer, and Anthony (writer/director
Lane Janger), a fireman, are a young New York couple about to be married. Anthony
fantasizes about Amy and another woman and really wants a threesome before they
say their vows. The idea bothers Amy, but she agrees on one condition .... they
must also have a menage a trois with another man. Unbeknownst to Anthony,
Amy invites their young gay neighbor Victor (Guillermo Díaz, Half
Baked, Nowhere) to participate, when Anthony was no doubt expecting
a straight man. She insists that he hold up his end of the bargain to make a point
and get rid of that fantasy she feels is hanging over her head. Meanwhile,
Amy starts looking for a likely female candidate by visiting the local women's
bookstore and then settles on their lesbian neighbor Michelle (Jennifer Esposito,
Kiss Me, Guido), who restores furniture in a nearby store. Of course Anthony
doesn't actually want it to be a lesbian. He wants some kind of straight fantasy
woman. When Anthony sees them kissing, he becomes jealous and is afraid
that the two women will fall in love, leaving him out of the picture. She gets
angry. He becomes desperate to fix it, but all is well in the end. Even Michelle
and Victor find loves of their own. It's a cute comedy that tackles the
hypocrisy of the lesbian fantasy for straight men. Good for a bit of light movie
watching time. |
