Hallows End

It’s Halloween night in Hallow’s End. In this low budget movie, a group of college students run a haunted house for charity. As they decorate, we’re introduced to Jill (Brandy Little) and Kira (Amy Jo Hearron), who are dating, but Jill also has a boyfriend Dan (Matt Moore), who is working on the house. Jill keeps putting the jerk Dan’s affections off, gets pissed at him, and graces us with a love scene with Kira. Dan finds out about them and goes as far as punching Jill in the face.

But all of this is irrelevant when somehow a spell is cast that turns the students into their Halloween costumes. [Didn’t we already see that plot in a ‘Buffy’ episode?] Once the action starts, zombies, ghouls and vampires are biting and hacking. Four of the students in street clothes fight for their lives, and lame fights they are. Jill realizes how much she loves Kira, even though she is a zombie. (really)  (AB)
