This is what you’d call a stupid comedy with a few good jokes and a lot of lame ones. A group of men enters a dodgeball tournament to raise money to save their gym from foreclosure. Stars Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn.
When Kate the banker (Christine Taylor, The Brady Bunch Movie) comes by during practice, she throws a mean ball and explains herself with ‘eight years of softball.’ The guys assume she’s a lesbian, one calling her a dyke, a muff diver and ‘Billie Jean King.’ Kate joins the team and is their number one player.
Turns out she’s not a lesbian, although Joyce (Scarlett Chorvat) comes to see her play. Instead, she’s bisexual, and she goes from kissing Joyce one minute to kissing Peter (Vaughn) the next. (AB)
