What’s “Charlie’s Angels” doing in this database? Three beautiful women who are masters of martial arts and technology handle any problem with smarts and fabulous special effects laden fight scenes. What’s not to love?
They also make this list because of a crossdressing scene. Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu play Charlie’s Angels in this comedic remake of the 1970s tv series. The three are super private detectives who work for Charlie (voiced by John Forsythe), the always unseen hand who finances their work. They are aided by Bosley (Bill Murray), and in the film, their job is to foil a kidnapper, sneak in to bug a mainframe computer, and later to save Charlie from a murder plot.
The computer job requires impersonating two male corporate executives to reach the inner sanctum of the company. Barrymore and Diaz look like men in suits while Liu distracts the employees by being all girl.
It’s a tongue-in-cheek action/adventure movie with three hot women. Good for a fun movie night with friends! (AB)
